The Brief:
Wrecks-N-Effect were so New Jack Swing that they wrote a song about it. Like to hear it? Here it go… The group is well known for their 1992 smash hit “Rump Shaker” but, before that, they released an eponymous LP on Motown Records in 1989 that produced the single “New Jack Swing”. The album was produced by noted New Jack Swing artists/producers Teddy & Markell Riley and The Redhead Kingpin. The song reached the #1 spot on the Hot Rap Tracks chart.
