The Brief:
I remember why I bought this record. I read in a magazine, possibly Billboard, that he and the song sounded a lot like Prince. Yeah, I can hear the similarity with Prince’s falsetto, take a listen and see what you think. This song is from the soundtrack to the Tom Cruise movie, “All The Right Moves”. Winston Ford didn’t have any chart success with this track as it didn’t crack the Hot 100 or the R&B Singles chart. Winston was the lead singer of the band in the movie “Streets of Fire”. Tragically, he was killed in an automobile accident October 13, 2007. The song was written by Gerard McMahon who was later known for the hit “Cry Little Sister” from the “Lost Boys” soundtrack.
