The Brief:
Here’s another “Bus Stop” song, Will To Power’s “Fading Away” would always bring the line dancers out on the floor to do the “Bus Stop” whenever I played it. Will To Power came together in south Florida in the mid-80s and released their self-titled debut in 1988. The album featured the #1 pop single “Baby, I Love Your Way/Freebird Medley” as well as two Hot Dance/Disco #1’s in “Say It’s Gonna Rain” and “Fading Away”. “Fading Away” also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart on February 4, 1989 at #90. It only got as high as #65 and spent 10 weeks on the chart. Shep Pettibone provides the remixes on this 12” release.
