The A Side:
Waterfall (Psychedelic Teepee Twelve)
The B Side:
Waterfall ’89 (Alice & Sundial Seven)
Always In My Dreams
The Brief:
OK, it wasn’t until I started researching chart information on Wendy & Lisa that I came to the realization that this song is the only track the girls have placed on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart! I just assumed that they had charted numerous times and had probably hit the Top 40 a time or two. Nope. This was it, they hit a peak of #56 with “Waterfall” and only charted for 10 weeks. Guess that just goes to show, great music isn’t determined by popularity… “Waterfall” came from the duo’s first album ‘Wendy & Lisa’ which climbed to #88 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 1987 where it spent 13 weeks.
The Billboard Charts:

| Hot 100 | 9/19/87 | 80 | 56 | 10 |

Thank you!
Thanks!
Great to finally hear the Psychedelic Teepee mix – thank you
Many thanks!!
This is a great, funky version! I did not realize that W&L did their own remixes on this! Very cool!
They are very talented ladies in lots of respects.
Good lord man do you have the holy grail hidden somewhere and your not telling us. Awesome post indeed and yes Wendy and Lisa have done some truly sublime music and have had little to no chart successal. The exception being with Satisfaction which did go top 40 in the UK, they also had one appearence on the Top of The Pops chart show to promote that tune.
LOL, nothing like that, I’ve just bought a lot of records over the years.
Yes Richie, Wendy & Lisa were not huge at all in the USA…shame!
They were a lot bigger in the UK, with nine entries in the UK Charts.
Although not a major hit, Waterfall was even a hit twice there, in ’87 and remixed in ’89.
This is still my favourite single of theirs.
Happy weekend, Richie!

Tyler, I am happy that you enjoy the blog. As I look over your list, I think I have the Sideshow 12″ but, I don’t have any of the other records you listed. As I shop for records, I can keep an eye out for them, never know what you might run across in those dusty old record bins…
Yeah that great thanks for looking it over.
I know there are some pretty rare ones on my list.
I usually find vinyl info on discogs.
