Don’t Let Go (Remix) 7:12
The Brief:
Originally dubbed Huang Chung and with one album release under their belt on Arista Records, Wang Chung signed with Geffen Records and, as suggested by the label, the band changed their name to make pronunciation easier for English-speakers. Woohoo! More Wang Chung please. Love your site.
Thanks!
Another two-for-the-price-of-one single, and this one I bought back in 1984!
Thanks for your rip, Richie!
The name Huang Chung is actually the Chinese pin-yin (phonetics) for “Yellow Bell”, the resonance they want to achieve with their music.
BTW, in the US, Don’t Let Go is their first Top 40 hit. Dance Hall Days is their first Top 20 hit. Everybody Have Fun Tonight is their first Top 10.
Have a good weekend, Richie!
Ack! Caught me in a typo didn’t ya?
well, it shows that someone does read your brief, and we don’t just charge at “that button” *wink*
Yeaaaaaaaaah!
The first word out of my mouth when I clicked on my bookmark and I saw Wang Chung in the header.

Nice 12″! For those who want DHD remix at cd quality, it can be found on the Billboard Dance Hits 1984 cd compilation. I wish they didn’t stop at year 1985!
Thanks. Ah, the memories. I liked the “To Live & Die in LA Soundtrack”, too.
thank you for the Flac on this site, but please drop the clickrepair – it ruins the drums
