Vanity’s second LP, ‘Skin on Skin’, produced three singles including today’s 12″ post, “Animals”. The song failed to chart on any of Billboard’s major charts. The LP itself reached a peak of #66 on the Billboard 200 where it charted for 20 weeks.

yeah, I believe Vanity’s music career was coming to an end by the time this single was released, not much interest in her at radio by that point
