The Brief:
TLC waited over four years after the highly successful ‘CrazySexyCool’ to release the ‘FanMail’ album in 1999. Again, the girls enjoyed great commercial success as the album topped both the Billboard 200 and Top Black Albums charts in the US. The second single from the album was “Unpretty” which went on to spend three weeks at #1 on the Hot 100. It was TLC’s last #1 on the Billboard pop charts and their last Top 10 on the UK singles chart. The 12” release features the “Don’t Look Any Further Remix” which basically mashes up Dennis Edwards’ 1984 #2 R&B hit single with “Unpretty”, it is an awesome remix in my opinion.

Love TLC! I like it that each member is distinctive in style, including musically, and each can hold their own. Yet when they come together, they gel so well! Plus the mash for this single is flawless!
