The Brief:
At one point, Thompson Twins, who were neither twins, a duo or siblings, was a six-member band. But, when the group pared down to Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie and Joe Leeway, they got their first taste of international success and never looked back from there. The single “Lies” was released in late 1982 and became the first Top 40 hit in the US for the group. It was also the band’s second #1 on the US Hot Dance/Disco chart where it spent two weeks in the top spot.

This is the single that made me a real fan of TT! Such a classic New Wave single that still sounds fresh even today!
honestly I never became a big fan of TT outside of the hit singles
