Things To Come at Fun With Vinyl

Hello everyone!  Just thought I’d take a moment to give everyone an idea of what is in the works for posting to the blog in the coming days, weeks, months, year, etc.  I get quite a few questions on whether I have this record or that record and could I post so and so…  Which is perfectly fine, no complaints about that.  But, I thought I would give everyone a visual look at what I am working on so that you might have an understanding as to why I might not be able to post your request right away.  Gonna show you a few pictures here of the different stages of records I am working on.  All of the pictures are linked to the full-res picture so, click them if you want a closer look.  So, I guess this is a good spot to put up the first picture…

This stack of records was recently completed and is the current pool of records that I am posting to the blog on a regular basis.  These records have been recorded and ClickRepaired on the PC, the covers and labels have been scanned and the scans have been stitched together and cropped as needed.  Record stack number two…

This stack of records has been recorded, edited and ClickRepaired on the PC.  These records are waiting for the covers and labels to be scanned and then they will be ready for me to run them through WinRAR and upload them to the Multiupload site so that I can post them to the blog.  Stack number three…

This stack has been recorded and that’s it.  They haven’t been touched on the PC yet, still have to edit and ClickRepair them and the scanning still to do, also.  So, these records are a long way away from being posted to the blog yet.

So, what does this all mean, you ask?  Well, it means that there are a lot of records yet to be posted here on the blog.  That’s good, right?  But, it also means that if there’s something you are looking for me to post and it is in stacks two or three, you are going to have a long wait before I am able to post them.  Not as good news as the first point but, hey, back to the first point, there’s a lot of records still to come so, enjoy whatever pops up each day and know that, if I tell you I have your request, it will get posted sooner or later, I’m just not able to pull records out at will and have them ready for posting to the blog.

So, after having said all that, here’s some answers to a few questions I’ve gotten in the comments recently that I haven’t replied to yet.  Jill Jones’ 7″ singles are in stack one and are ready for posting to the blog, those will be coming very soon, I promise.  I don’t have any 7″ singles of Vanity’s but, I do have all of her 12″ singles.  However, most of those are in stack three so, it’s going to be a while before those are ready to post.  I have all of the Madhouse 7″ and 12″ singles with the exception of the “13″ 7″ single.  I ordered that single from overseas and it was shipped to me on Dec 17, 2010 but, I still have not received it.  All of the Madhouse singles are in stack three so, I hope to have “13″ by the time I am able to post those.

I hope that helps answer some questions and gives you guys a look into how I go about preparing records to share here with ya’ll.  As always, comments are welcome.  Especially those of you who’ve never commented, I’d love to hear from everyone that visits here and I encourage you to post comments and discuss the music among yourselves.  This blog is for anyone around the world that has an interest in these out of print records and I would really love to see a lot of interaction and participation from those of you that visit here.  Of course, I’ll join in and answer any questions that come my way as well.

So, I’ve rambled on enough now, there’s only one thing left to say…

Enjoy and get it on!
