The A Side:
Communication (Special Club Mix) 4:40
The B Side:
Murderess 4:20
The Brief:
What do you get when you combine the talents of singer Robert Palmer, bassist John Taylor and guitarist Andy Taylor of Duran Duran, and former Chic drummer Tony Thompson along with production and management by Bernard Edwards? One of the most enjoyable “supergroup” albums I have ever heard. The single “Communication” was the last single released from “The Power Station” LP and this 12″ features a “Special Club Mix” by Bernard Edwards and Josh Abbey. The music world has lost three extraordinary talents in the years since this LP was recorded, Bernard Edwards in 1996 and both Robert Palmer and Tony Thompson in 2003.

Love your clever connections….supergroup to robert palmer back to supergroup…heh heh
Some Like It Hot is hot, Bang A Gong to me is not, and Communications fit in somewhere in between, but closer to hot than not.
Sounds good to me – thanks!
This was a true supergroup. Thanks for this one as I didn’t have it.
