The Brief:
After years of playing the bars and small clubs, The Georgia Satellites blasted on to the music scene in 1986 with the #2 charting song “Keep Your Hands To Yourself”. The single came from their self-titled debut album which went to #5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The follow up single was “Battleship Chains” which is the subject of tonight’s post. This promotional 12″ contains the LP Version on side A and the Party Mix on side B.

I’m actually very surprised when Keep Your Hands went to #2 in 1986…but then again Fabulous Thunderbirds had a Top 10 with Tuff Enuf earlier that year…
