The Brief:
Ian Astbury on vocals, Billy Duffy on guitar and Jamie Stewart on bass guitar with a rotation of different drummers have been the primary members of The Cult since they released their first album, ‘Dreamtime’, in 1984. The follow-up LP was ‘Love’ in 1985. In May of that year, “She Sells Sanctuary” was released as a single. Today’s featured 12” is the UK release of the “Howling Mix” backed with “Assault On Sanctuary”.
