The Brief:
All of the surviving, original members of The Cars have recently reunited to record the new album “Move Like This” and have embarked on a tour in support of it. Lead singer Ric Ocasek, guitarist Elliot Easton, keyboardist Greg Hawkes and drummer David Robinson are back together minus bassist Benjamin Orr, who sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2000. The band will be playing First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN tonight, the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, IL tomorrow night and the Sound Academy in Toronto, ON Friday night.
Twenty-seven years ago, in 1984, The Cars released their fifth and most successful album, ‘Heartbeat City’. That album went to #3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and spawned five Top 40 singles including tonight’s post. “Hello Again” was the fourth single released from the album and a Top 20 charting hit. The remixing on tonight’s 12” was performed by Arthur Baker.

I remember this song! Kind of a lost single, as this is not on my greatest hits disc. Too bad about Ben Orr — his single, Stay the Night, is pure 80′s bliss. Great band.
How do they leave a Top 20 hit off of a greatest hits disc? Record companies, what can you say? Stay The Night is a great song!
agree on all counts!
and that is Baker mix is 80s hot!
nice transition between these last two post, Richie.
I like!
transition? dude, what transition? LOL
I just saw them a couple weeks ago, didn’t play this song, but sounded very good. Glad to see this posted!
