If for nothing else, download this and just gaze at the gorgeous face that graces the cover of this 12”. Not only is Taja Sevelle beautiful but, she has a voice to match her looks. Taja signed to Paisley Park Records in 1987 and released her self-titled debut album the same year. The lead single was “Love Is Contagious”. Today’s post is a UK released 12” that features the Extended Mix and Instrumental Dub along with an edit of the album cut “Mama 16”.

back to Taja, this is pure smooth groove for me! Should’ve been a lot bigger in the US. At least they had the sense to make it a Top 10 in the UK.
There is a Ben Liebrand remix for this that is absolutely ace too.
Is the Liebrand mix on an official 12″?
It was first released by DMC, and then included as B-side to the UK 12″ of Wouldn’t You Love To Love Me
