The Brief:
Another Burt Bacharach and Hal David composition for Dionne Warwick was “Walk On By” that was released as a single in 1964. The song would be Dionne’s first #1 R&B single and charted at #6 on the Hot 100, her highest charting pop single at that point.
Sybil and producer Eddie O’Loughlin decide to see if lightning would strike twice with another Warwick cover. The song failed to reach the Top 40 but, did enjoy similar success as its predecessor did on the R&B and Dance charts. The song fared even better on the UK Singles Chart by reaching the #6 position.

Both Walk On By and Don’t Make Me Over were remixed by Tony King while he was part of the PWL stable. Did the upcoming Hit Factory Live concert in Hyde Park inspire these posts?
No, just a coincidence
Lovely Sybil double, Richie! Thanks!
There is also a PJD Remix of this that samples Tears For Fears’ Shout.
