The Brief:
Stephanie Mills’ 1987 LP ‘If I Were Your Woman’ was the only studio album of her career to be certified as a Platinum seller. It was the eleventh album of her career and her second for MCA Records. “(You’re Puttin’) A Rush On Me” became the second straight #1 R&B single for Stephanie and the third overall of her five career R&B number ones. The tracks on this 12” were remixed by Louil Silas, Jr.
