The Brief:
This song really gets a bad rap from everyone who considers themselves a hip music fan or critic. I guess that makes me very un-hip because I like this song and just don’t understand why it gets so much criticism and disdain. So, to all you hipsters out there, here’s seven minutes of Starship‘s “We Built This City” Special Club Mix just to irritate you for an even longer period of time. The song spent two weeks at #1 on the Hot 100. Oh yeah, by the way, Mickey Thomas is from Cairo, GA (pronounced kay-row) which is about 65 miles from where I live.
