Starpoint’s most commercially successful album release was 1985’s ‘Restless’. The album contained the group’s only Top 40 pop hit, “Object Of My Desire”. The bulk of the LP was produced by Keith Diamond with whom Billy Ocean enjoyed great success on 1984’s ‘Suddenly’ LP. The title track was released as the second single and just missed being their second Top 40 hit.

They made some good music back in the day. Thanks for sharing djrichiep!

You’re welcome Taylor. I remember when the Restless album came out, I checked the album out from the library and recorded it to cassette. I wore that cassette out eventually and it wasn’t until several years later that I actually bought my own copy of the record.

Great vinyl transfer! 3 awesome singles off this album!!

For my taste, Keith Diamond did a better job on the vocals on this project by leaving more rawness in both the M and F vocals, than he did with Billy Ocean (which, in my opinion, he smoothed out a little too much).

All 3 of these singles are just electric on a big sound system, they charge out of the speakers and take the dancefloor.

I’d love to hear “What You’ve been Missing” 12″ if it exists/you have it…

This is the only Starpoint I know…supposedly they have 11 albums, I’m going to have to add them to my buying list. Thanks for the great share!
