The Brief:
In 1985, Simple Minds were riding a crest of popularity after scoring a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” from The Breakfast Club soundtrack. The band released their seventh studio album that year entitled ‘Once Upon a Time’ which featured four singles; “Alive and Kicking”, “All the Things She Said”, “Sanctify Yourself” and “Ghost Dancing”. “Sanctify Yourself” was the Hot Shot Debut on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of 1/25/86 and was the Hot Mover/Sales Track of the week for 3/1/86.
