The A Side:
Sister Fate (Extended Version) 5:45
The B Side:
Save The People 8:28
The Brief:
Sheila E. released “Romance 1600”, her second album, in 1985 on Paisley Park Records. Prince provided a large, mostly un-credited, portion of songwriting, playing and production on the album. The first single to ship to radio was “Sister Fate”. The song barely made the Top 40 on the R&B charts and only got as high as #8 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100. The 12” release gave us the Extended Version of the track and an 8:28 non-album b-side entitled “Save The People”.

Thanks…I’ve never heard this B-side.
Thanks Richie for this gem and for all previous post.
I hope you can also enter the extended version of “A Love Bizarre”.
One of my favorites.
Greetings from Italy.
Umbedi;)
To my knowledge, the LP version is the “extended” version. The “parts 1 & 2″ “mix” and the 7″ edit are the only “alternate” versions of “ALB”. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I don’t profess to know everything.
I love the Sheila E posts! Funny, I have the FR. pressing of ‘A Love Bizarre (Pts. 1 & 2)’ with this same cover. ‘Save The People’ is the B-side. Always love your blog…keep on!
Thanks for the kind words about the blog
Another late thank you
I’m on a bit of Sheila tip at the moment having caught her in London earlier this week so these it’s great to hear these 12″ versions again. Thanx Richie.
