The Brief:
Sheena Easton’s first LP for MCA Records was entitled ‘The Lover In Me’ and was released in 1988. The Gold selling album featured a bevy of heavy hitters in the industry handling production work; Prince, L.A. Reid & Babyface along with Kayo, Jellybean Benitez, David Leonard and Angela Winbush. The L.A. Reid & Babyface produced title track was the lead single and the most successful on the US Billboard charts of any of the songs released from the LP. It would also be her last Top 10 single to date.

Patrick
my pleasure Patrick!
Great one! I hope the next one will be “Days Like This”? =D
Sorry, only one Sheena record ready to post right now…
Thanks
you’re welcome Taylor
This is a HOT single from her BEST album!
Despite this being the only hit, subsequent singles from this album are ALL excellent.
You are on LA Roll, Richie! LOL!
she was always more of a singles artist than an album artist wasn’t she?
For sure, and this is the only album of hers I can listen to from start to end.
I love Cool Love!
This is a great pop/dance song. I love the video for this & Sheena really reached her full “Pop Princess” potential with this song!! I was really looking forward to the songs “Cool Love” & “101″ off this same album from her and Prince, but when I got a listen… I was very disappointed…. oh well, every record can’t be a hit…lol. Thanks for taking the time to share this classic piece of Pop!
you’re welcome Rave
Thanks..
Welcome..
