The Brief:
Welcome to Fun With Vinyl v2013! Well, not much has changed around here except we are now on a new host that, I hope, is working well for everyone without any issues. I had not planned to resume posting until next week but, since I had to knock off a week early for the host change and since I had to return to my job today, like a lot of you I expect, I figured I might as well return to posting records today. So…. let’s get going…
By 1987, Sheena Easton had become closely tied to Prince. The duo hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “U Got The Look” from Prince’s ‘Sign ‘O’ The Times’ LP. Later that year, the Prince-written “Eternity” was released as a single from Sheena’s ‘No Sound But a Heart’ LP. The song failed to chart and the album’s original U.S. release was canceled. The release was hampered after EMI America was absorbed into EMI Manhattan records. The album was finally issued to the US in 1999 by the One Way Records label. Sheena left EMI after that debacle and signed with MCA Records. This promo 12” simply features the album version of “Eternity” on both sides.

Happy new year and thanks for posting.
Noticed you already posted 101 but no Cool Love. It’s not even on utube.
Hmmmmm…. I am not aware of a single for Cool Love, is there one?
Don’t think so, but oh how i wished it was back in 1989!!! In fact dare I say I prefer Cool Love to 101!
