The Brief:
This cover of Foreigner’s top 5 charting pop hit from 1981, was the third and final charting single from Shannon’s sophomore album “Do You Wanna Get Away”. It “urged” its way on to the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart on November 9, 1985 getting up to #68 and hanging out for 7 weeks. It got a taste of the Billboard Hot 100 by reaching #103 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart but, did not break into the top 100.
