The Brief:
“Sweet Somebody” is the fourth and final single from 1984′s ‘Let The Music Play’ LP that put Shannon on the music map and on top of the Billboard dance charts. However, by the time “Sweet Somebody” was released, the momentum for ‘Let The Music Play’ was starting to run out and the single failed to chart on any of Billboard’s major US charts. This UK 12″ release features the Special Extended Vocal, New Sweet Dub Version and a medley of “Let The Music Play” & “Give Me Tonight”.
