Looks like Shalamar got the short end of the LaFace touch.
While Whispers hit #1 with Rock Steady, Shalamar for an extra 1 after that number…LOL!
Not bad a jam, but sounds quite like something out of the Cameo music vaults.

    Thanks Richie!

    Thanks Richie!

Circumstantial Evidence is one of my fav. Shalamar albums. Love the Minneapolis Sound-alikes and the Bernadette Cooper production. :)

    File under ‘interesting’

Shalamar’s “Owners” famously said that ‘who’ was in the band didn’t matter.
    Weeeeell it did,
And to me and many other’s THE BAND were Jody Watley, Jeffrey Daniel, and mr.Curly Perm himself Howard Hewett (Who I did meet & had the cheek to say “No autographs” pfffff I thought – Ye were Shyte !)
This slightly ‘faceless’ combo would have had more Chart success IF they changed the outfits Name
Though the song ‘The Final Analysis’ still cracks me up Xx
