The Brief:
Scritti Politti’s third studio album was ‘Provision’ and it was released in 1988. The track, “Boom! There She Was”, featured Roger Troutman on talk-box vocals. The U.S. single release opened on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart at #95 on 6/18/88 and reached #53 during 11 weeks on the chart. It also charted on the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, debuted on July 23, 1988, reached #94 and disappeared after only 2 weeks.
