The Brief:
Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra “Pepa” Denton and Deidra “Spinderella” Roper make up the multi-million selling rap trio known as Salt-N-Pepa. They had a few minor hits in 1985 and 1986 but when “Push It” hit in 1987 it was their first major hit and many others would follow. This was one song I could always count on to fill the dance floor no matter where or what I was DJ’ing.

the B-side became the much bigger hit!
chart placings didn’t reflect its popularity though.
Push It had the same effect over here, it never fails to pull the crowd onto the dance floor whenever the DJ slapped it on.
ooh baby babeeeeee!
Happy weekend, Richie!
I probably should have noted the chart info is for Push It, I’ll fix that now
Thanks for putting this one up, Richie! I found my 12′er of this and it’s absolute rags! The needle was on this record way to many times and the jacket is flat out faint!
heh heh, yeah, I can imagine, enjoy it
