The Brief:
As the disco craze reached its peak in the late seventies, various artists such as The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, KISS and Ethel Merman tried their hands at pumping out a disco hit. Sadly, I don’t have an Ethel Merman disco track but, I do have the Special Disco Mix of Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” as mixed by Jim Burgess. The single was the highest debut of the week on 12/23/78 and eventually spent 4 weeks atop the Hot 100 chart.
