The Brief:
For the 15th solo album release of his career, Rod Stewart teamed up with Andy Taylor, Bernard Edwards and Tony Thompson to produce ‘Out of Order’ which achieved Gold sales status and reached #20 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The LP had four of five singles hit the Top 40 in the US. This 12″ is the fourth of those singles, “Crazy About Her”. The single was produced by Rod, Andy Taylor and Bernard Edwards with the remixing done by Al B. Sure!

I was really surprised when My Heart Just Can’t Say No ended up as quite the slow burner in the charts and became the monster smash it was! Rod wasn’t exactly the flavour of the month by then.
Another surprise for me is that Al B Sure was roped in to remix this. I suppose being in the same record company helped.
