The Brief:
“U Got The Look” is the third single from the ‘Sign ‘O’ The Times’ LP and the highest charting single from the album. Although she’s not listed in the credits, the song is a duet between Prince and Sheena Easton as they share the lead vocals on the song. The significance of this 45 is the edit version of “Housequake” on the b-side that has not been issued on CD.

When Sign O The Times failed to hit #1 and If I Was Your Girlfriend flopped, it looked as if this era is gonna end up worse than the Parade one.
Thank god for this duet, becoming the biggest hit from the album, and squeezing another Top 10 single after!
