The Brief:
“I Didn’t Know I Loved You (Till I Saw You Rock And Roll)” is a song written by Gary Glitter that reached #4 on the UK Singles Chart in 1972. Eleven years later, Arthur Baker and John Robie gave it the electro-funk treatment with their Planet Patrol project. Baker and Robie played and produced the tracks on the album and employed vocalists Herbert J. Jackson, Joseph Lites, Rodney Butler, Michael Anthony Jones, and the late Melvin Franklin on various tracks. Franklin rose to prominence as a member of The Temptations.
