The Brief:
For Patti Labelle’s 1989 album ‘Be Yourself’, Prince contributed two songs: “Yo Mister” and “Love 89” which was co-written with Sheena Easton. “Yo Mister” was the second single released from the LP and earned Patti her second consecutive Top 10 R&B hit. This promo 12” features “Miss Thing’s” club, radio and instrumental versions as remixed by Frankie Knuckles.
