The Brief:
“Too Busy Thinking About My Baby” is a song written by Norman Whitfield, Barrett Strong, and Janie Bradford. It was first recorded by The Temptations for their 1966 LP ‘Getting’ Ready’. In 1969, Marvin Gaye released the song as a single from his ‘M.P.G.” album. Gaye’s version reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent six consecutive weeks at #1 on the Hot Rhythm & Blues Singles chart.
Don Was’ and Luis Resto’s Orbit again teamed with Carol Hall in 1984 to record this cover of a timeless soul classic.

Was (Not Was) was a big obsession with me in the 80s. Thanks for widening my view of the group.
until I started researching info to post with these records, I was not aware of all the production work Don Was did, I certainly never made the connection between him and these Orbit records, I thought it was quite interesting
