thank’s for this one ….this is funk music reminds me ”BAR-KAYS”
Bar-Kays, interesting comparison, I always related this song more to Roger and Zapp, regardless, it is a very good, underrated funk tune
Hi, you’re site is da bomb, and the quality excellent. I’m sure, I have something special for you. I re-remix old classics without changing their purity. I create new versions by combining the best parts of Extended, Dub, Acapella, Percapella, Bonus Beats etc. to a new remix. I would like to send you some examples I’ve your are interested. I’m sure you would be satisfied.
Wish you the best and hope to hear from you!
Björn

I like the last couple of minutes, where Troutman gets his Zapp thing going, then really nice piano breakdown in the last minute with horns playing against that…starts really sounding like a live band…going to have to use that part in a mix sometime.
Nice find, I didn’t know this 12″. Thanks!
you’re welcome oldDJ, enjoy

hey Richie,
Never heard this one before…
what the hell happened to the promotion of this track at the time at Columbia? This is hot stuff,
R.I.P. Mr. Troutman
Thank you once again Richie
Good question RC, I heard this song on my local R&B station, WJIZ, at the time it was released. Loved the sound of it when I first heard it and then understood why when I got the record and saw it was produced by Roger.
