The Brief:
In 1987, Natalie Cole released her eleventh studio album entitled ‘Everlasting’. “Jump Start” was the first single released from that LP and it moved in to the Hot Black Singles chart on 6/13/87. The song attained the #2 spot before sliding back down and off the chart after 20 weeks. Over on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, “Jump Start” first appeared on 7/25/87 in the #87 slot. Natalie reached #13 on the Hot 100 and spent 18 weeks there.
