The A Side:

The B Side:
Tell Jack (Extended Mix) 5:45
The Brief:
Trivia time… who were the first black artists to have a video shown on MTV? Yep, Musical Youth, in 1982 with their worldwide hit “Pass The Dutchie”. In 1983, the Youth released their second album, “Different Style”, but, it failed to duplicate the sales of their debut. The song, “She’s Trouble”, was originally offered to Michael Jackson during the recording of the ‘Thriller’ album but, as we all know now, it wasn’t used. Michael Jackson’s version exists as an outtake on a few blogs, google is your friend. Anyway, Musical Youth’s version was really good and I recently found this UK 12″ version while record shopping online. The mix on the 12″ was done by Peter Collins. This was the last song of theirs to enter the Billboard Hot 100.
