The A Side:
Fishnet (Edit) 3:58
The B Side:
Maybe 4:10
The Brief:
Morris Day went back into the studio after his ‘Color Of Success‘ album had run its course and began work on the followup. Morris enlisted his former bandmates Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to produce and co-write two tracks, “Fishnet” and “Love Is A Game”. The remaining nine songs were produced by Morris with help from his wife Judith. The first single released from ‘Daydreaming‘ was the Flyte Tyme produced “Fishnet” which became the highest charting song of Morris’ solo career. On the flip side of this 7″ single is the track “Maybe” a non-album b-side credited to Morris and Judith. “Maybe” is an all time favorite tune of the Fun-wife.
Here’s wishing you a FUN weekend and a reminder that next week is Turn Off Week…

I enjoy this song but the only version I own is a…cassette-single?! Thanks.
Ahhhhhh cassette singles, I tried a few of those but quickly went back to buying records…
I bought it the day of my first date with my wife. She didn’t wear fishnet but you can’t have everything.
No, you can’t, besides, where would you put it?*
*All credits to Steven Wright…
YESSSSS, thank you!
Johan, bring me my mirror…
lol
Thanks… I hadn’t heard “Maybe” in years…
It is a really good song, you’re quite welcome.
I always thought the B-Side was way better than some of the tracks on the album
It was a lost gem :\
But thanks to you its back!
The Fun-Wife agrees, she dearly loves the song…
Never been a B-side person myself, but since this comes with high recommendation, it is worth checking out then. Thanks Richie and the Fun Wife!
so? what’d ya think of “Maybe”?
