The Brief:
Michel’le Toussant, or just Michel’le, released her self-titled debut album, produced entirely by then-boyfriend Dr. Dre, in 1989. The first single, “No More Lies”, from that LP produced her only Top 10 pop hit. The 12” release features remixes by Dr. Dre and D.J. Yella.

    ahhh, Michel’Le and her minnie mouse vocals…
    This was such a strong survivor in the HOT 100 well into 1990!

    Thought her follow-up Nicety should’ve been another Top 10 though…

    I’ve got this 12” but it has a plain white cover with a hole to display the Ruthless label. I haven’t had a turntable for nearly 20 years. I’ve been wanting to hear the remix again…Crazy beat. Thanx!
