The Brief:
Flashdance… Maniac… Jennifer Beals… Dancing… Training… Hot! If you’ve seen ‘Flashdance’, then all that made sense. If you haven’t, why the heck not? “Maniac” was the second of two singles from the soundtrack. Both singles went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. “Maniac” skipped on to the chart June 4, 1983 at #89. It spent 2 weeks in the #1 spot and a total of 22 weeks on the chart. John “Jellybean” Benitez did the remix for this 12”.
