The Brief:
“Bad Boy” was from Miami Sound Machine’s 9th studio album, ‘Primitive Love’, their second English language album. “Bad Boy” broke into the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart on April 26, 1986 and spent 8 weeks on the chart getting only as high as #74. It also muscled its way on to the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart on March 8, 1986 at #76. It made its way up to #8 where it stayed for 3 weeks. It dropped off the Hot 100 after a 19 week run. The remix on this 12” comes courtesy of Shep Pettibone for Mastermix Productions.
