The Brief:
Meli’sa Morgan bounced around with a couple groups in the early 80′s: Shades of Love and High Fashion. In 1986 her first solo LP, ‘Do Me Baby’, was released on Capitol Records. The title track was written by Prince and originally released on his ‘Controversy’ LP in 1981. The single was Meli’sa’s only song to enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart in her career and spent 3 weeks at the #1 spot on the Hot Black Singles chart.
