The Brief:
Luther Vandross released his one and only Christmas album in 1995 entitled ‘This Is Christmas’. The album contained seven original songs co-written by Luther along with three traditional Christmas songs. “The Mistletoe Jam (Everybody Kiss Somebody)” is one of those original songs written for the album. The Epic Dance record label turned the track over to David Morales for remixing and released the four tracks that resulted from that session on this promo 12″. The ‘This Is Christmas’ album reached a peak of #28 on the Billboard 200 and #4 on the R&B Albums charts respectively.
