The Brief:
Overnight sensation. A term that is usually incorrect. Most bands that “suddenly” hit it big didn’t just appear on the scene and make a hit record. They generally have been playing together for several years, playing local bars, gaining popularity, playing bigger clubs, getting the attention of a record label and signing a contract. Then, suddenly, a song gets airplay and begins to spread like wildfire across the country and the next “overnight sensation” is climbing up the charts. In 1991, Londonbeat released ‘In the Blood’, their second album which contained the song “I’ve Been Thinking About You”. The single was the Hot Shot Debut song of the week for 2/9/91 and was the Power Pick/Airplay song the weeks of 2/16/91 and 2/23/91. The song held the #1 spot on the Hot 100 for one week.

The Billboard Charts:

Chart Debuted Debut Pos. Peak Pos. Wks on Chart
Hot 100 2/9/91 52 1 19
Hot Black Singles 4/20/91   83 4
Hot Dance/Disco 2/23/91   1 13

Love David Morales!!! Thank you for posting this gem. Please, please post some PWL particularly Bananarama’s – I Can’t Help It (The “Hammond” Version Excursion) and Love, Truth & Honesty (Balearacidic Mix) BOTH on UK 12″ vinyl. This will be a HIT on download since both were never released on digital format. Therefore putting your magic touch will be our best option. Thank You…

Didn’t feel for the original UK mixes…but once again, Morales showed why he is the boss.
    A fabulous set of remixes!

Whoa… bought the CD-Maxi back in the days, didn’t know there was a 12″ with other remixes around… Thanks for putting them online :-)
