Lakeside were recording artists on Dick Griffey’s Solar Records label and released their 7th studio album in 1983 entitled ‘Untouchables’. The album reached #42 on the Billboard 200 and went to #10 on the Top R&B Albums charts. The single “Raid” was a Top 10 track on the R&B singles chart.

Lakeside (SOLAR Your) was my first concert, and I consider “Fantastic Voyage” a deathless track. I like RAID, too, but actually like what the Boo Ya Tribe did with this. I don’t think they sampled it for their 1989 song but definitely reinterpreted it. Thanks.
