By 1986, Kool and the Gang had been recording and releasing music for 17 years. The LP ‘Forever’ was their 18th album release of original material. Promotion for the album was kicked off by the release of the single “Victory”. On its way to the Top 10 on the Hot 100, “Victory” was the Power Pick/Sales track of the week on 12/13/86 at the #21 position.
