The A Side:
I Was Made For Lovin’ You (A Jim Burgess Mix) 7:54
The B Side:
Charisma 4:26
The Brief:
From 1974-1977, KISS released eight studio and live albums. In 1978, the group took a “sort of” break from recording as a band and released four separate solo albums, albeit, still under the KISS moniker. In 1979, they “regrouped” to record and release ‘Dynasty’. The leadoff single from that album sported a thumping disco beat and became their second highest charting single at that point in their career. Paul Stanley has been quoted as saying that writing “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” was a conscious effort on his part to prove how easy it was to write and record a hit disco song. The 12″ version is a 7:54 workout that was remixed by Jim Burgess.
