A case where the remix made me love the song a little bit more. While I prefer his more pensive US debut single, Valotte, I can never resist a hot Thompson & Barbiero mix!
Been hoping for a lossless of this so thanks for your rip, Richie!
btw, in the UK, they reversed the order of release. Too Late For Goodbyes first, and then Valotte.
you’re welcome Ric
Thanks. I loved this track in its time. Later I felt a bit played by the people that tried to make it a real John track. I think Julian began to feel the same way. Still, without that baggage, it is a good track. I don’t know if I had ever heard the remix?
it’s a nice mix, I think you will enjoy it
Do you remember the video ????hehehe…..
What a goood song! Valotte is a good too but my prefer is ” because”.
Tks!!!
you’re welcome
glad to have read your site rich. reason for my calling, i recently obtained numerous promotional lps, sets and such, among with i got ahold two of these lps, both promotional and both different. one is like yours, with the mix, the other, which has some type of numbering written on it (like a lot of the promo copies seem to have) and is a vocal/lp version. indicates this just above the white center line on the lp. question is, this seems significant, how do i get it out there, besides ebay, to someone who would want it? you can give my email to someone you may know who’d like them, i don’t know what to ask.
thank you for the website and the info
Well Patrick, I’m no expert on record values or anything like that but, I don’t think the promo copies of this record are all that valuable. Some places you can check for prices are discogs.com or musicstack.com. That should give you an idea of what you have.
email is pat.1958.perry at gmail dot com
Thanks Richie. I thought I had this but I apparently I didn’t.
