The Brief:
I wasn’t able to find any info on Joi. However, this song was produced by Erik Nuri who also has executive producer credit on the debut New Kids On The Block LP and runs a management company that represents Siedah Garrett. The song is a “tribute” of sorts to Prince that incorporates various Prince song titles into the lyrics. Her voice isn’t all that bad but, the song is quite cheesy.

You’re welcome Jose!
Whoah, love the sexy sleek new look!
Thanks ND, I hope everyone likes the new look
Thanks for this…. I was curious, do you think this is the same “Joi” that did a cover of Prince’s “Sexy Dancer” in 1989…??

Thanks…
I could be wrong but I don’t think this is the same Joi who put out “Star Kitty’s Revenge” and “Tennessee Slim Is The Bomb,” although she’s a big Prince fan too. Anyways I’ve come to find out that even though “I Need A Prince” was released on Epic Records, it’s almost impossible to track it down, even on eBay, so thanks for uploading it here.
