The Brief:
There’s not a whole lot of information available online about John Hunter. He seems to be a true one hit wonder with this single. “Tragedy” is from his first album, “Famous At Night”. It debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart December 8, 1984 at #90. It did go Top 40 reaching the 39th position before sliding back down the chart and disappearing after 16 weeks. The flip side is a non-album track.
