One of my favorite Jody Watley songs! Thanks a lot! [:
you’re welcome bob!
Always thought it could be a bigger hit had it been released earlier…It may be fluffy and lightweight compared to her other singles, but it is undeniably catchy!
Written by Patrick Leonard and Gardner Cole, you can even imagine this being on Madonna’s True Blue album!
Thanks for another JW rip, Richie!
that album had quite few different styles of songs didn’t it? and she made all of them work
Soooooooo Patrick Leonard. My mind keeps plugging in Madonna over Jody’s vocal — I wonder if Jody was working from a Madonna-sung demo or is it vice-versa and Patrick Leonard songs/production created the Madonna vocal sound we all know???
Fascinating track. I never owned this 12″, it must have gotten no airplay in my area (MN)…I only remember the Andre tracks (which were HUGE at the time).
Nice dub.
Again, from the era when dubs were actually useful to DJs.
there you go mentioning this Andre fellow again!
Thank you for those great Jody 12″.
But where’s Don’t You Want Me????

Love the Jody ‘series’
And if others are ‘beefin’ about What yo HAVEN’T posted –
My Votes for
‘If I’m Not In Love, The Essence, Cyber X Feat. Jody Watley – Waves Of Love, Whenever, Saturday Night Experience, I Love To Love ft. Roy Ayers, Another Chapter, Affection [Single Mixes]
Need I go on…………………………………………….. LOL
No, LOL, you can stop there, because I have exactly none of those you have listed so far! Sorry dude.
Thanks! My favorite Jody Watley song for some reason esp in the long remix, thanks for digitizing better than I can (plus I calculated I would be done in ~2020)! Just listened to Eria Fachin and Company B and they are thin and dated, but Jody holds up!
